It was a first place finish for Matt Kenseth and a second place finish for Denny Hamlin in the Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway this past weekend.
Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth have their cars equipped with the JASPER traditional three-rail 4-Speed Transmission. Michael Waltrip Racing drivers Martin Truex, Jr., Mark Martin and Clint Bowyer use JASPER’s single-rail version of the 4-Speed.

Four drivers running JASPER Race Products are in the Chase standings. Matt Kenseth is third; Clint Bowyer is fifth; Brad Keselowski is seventh; and Kyle Busch is eighth.
In the Nationwide Series, Joey Logano finished fourth and Sam Hornish, Jr. finished eighth. Both drivers run JASPER Differentials.
This is also a milestone for Jasper Engines and Transmissions and its Racing Drive Line Division as it celebrates the first championship for its products. Keselowski was running a JASPER Differential when he secured the title Sunday, as he had for the 2012 season. JASPER Race Products celebrated 14 pole positions and 16 wins this season.
Clint Bowyer, running a JASPER 4-Speed Transmission, finished second in Chase points, while Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex, Jr. finished sixth and eleventh respectively.
Hamlin Takes Fifth Win of the Season in New Hampshire
Denny Hamlin’s win in this weekend’s Sylvania 300 in Loudon, New Hampshire, was significant for any number of reasons. It was his fifth win of the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season; it was his second Chase win; it helped to solidify his position as a favorite to win the Chase; and it gave Joe Gibbs Racing its 100th Cup victory. To top it off, Hamlin came from a 32nd place starting position to dominate the race, leading 193 laps of the 300 lap event.

Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag for the second week in a row with his win in this weekend’s AdvoCare 500 race in Atlanta. The back to back wins have bumped him up a place in the Chase Standings.
It was a good weekend all around for JASPER race products with five Top-10 finishes.
